<\/center>The National Conference of APAHC will address the many clinical, research, training, and administrative topics pertinent to psychologists and other providers working in academic health centers.<\/p>\nKeynote speakers include Katherine Nordal, Ph.D., W. Douglas Tynan, Ph.D., ABPP, and Jessica Henderson-Daniel, Ph.D., ABPP.<\/strong>\u00a0Dr. Nordal is the Executive Director of the APA Practice Directorate and will give an address on advocacy and the accessibility of psychology via healthcare systems. Dr. Tynan is the Director of Integrated Health Care at APA and Acting Director of the APA Center for Psychology and Health and will give an address on integrated mental and behavioral health services in healthcare settings. Dr. Henderson-Daniel is the APA President-Elect and will be presenting on individual and cultural diversity competency in healthcare.<\/p>\n Additional speakers and panels will address important topics such as provider wellness, interprofessional education, training for and integrating into medical settings, leadership and quality initiatives in medical settings, ethics in medical settings, interventions with diverse patients, treatment of chronic pain, and Holistic CBT. This boot camp will also be offered on Thursday, March 9th.<\/p>\n Representatives from the APA Commission on Accreditation will be on hand to provide Internship Site Visitor training and an Internship Self-Study workshop on Thursday, March 9th.<\/p>\n Showcase your research, clinical innovations, training and education programs or present on any of a broad range of topics, including: healthcare system dynamics and policy, ethical challenges, funding issues, faculty concerns and leadership in academic healthcare settings, or integrated care and inter-professional relations.
